A yard of fabric is always 36" in length x the width of the fabric bolt.

 

Double-rub count refers to the durability of a type of fabric. The double-rub testing method uses a special machine that passes a testing pad back and forth over the fabric until it is worn out. Each back and forth pass is known as a double-rub. Commercial grade fabrics are usually rated at 100,000 to 250,000 double-rubs. Residential/domestic grade fabrics are usually rated at 25,000 double-rubs. Commercial grade fabrics must be rated higher due to the high traffic that’s typical of any commercial location while residential grade fabrics are rated lower due to the low traffic.

 

Commercial grade fabrics may be used in a residential/domestic setting as well (and vice versa), but may be unnecessary due to the low volume of traffic. The level of cost for these fabrics may be affected by the double-rub count as well. The double-rub count for any fabric can typically be found along side the rest of the fabrics specifications.

CAN I RETURN MY FABRIC IF I DON'T LIKE IT?

Once a fabric is cut it is a final sale item. The only exception we make to this is if there is a manufacturer defect in the fabric or if it was damaged during shipping.

 

IS YOUR FABRIC FIRST QUALITY?

Always! Each every time. By “First Quality” we assure you that we get our fabrics directly from the manufacturer. It is always new and authentic. From time to time we may have special closeout sales of fabrics that are either from our stock or another sales outlet, but those will always be marked as "Closeouts".

 

WHAT IS “DISCONTINUED”?

If you are going to one of your favorite fabrics on our website and it is marked “Discontinued” or is no longer viewable, it means that it is only available if we have previously ordered stock on hand. This will be indicated by the ability to add it to your cart. Otherwise, we suggest that you choose another fabric that even tickles your fancy more!

 

CAN I GET A SAMPLE OVER HERE?

But of course, dearie! It is our pleasure to provide you with a sample of a potential fabric that will totally change your life! Simply press the “Order Swatch Sample” on the product page of the fabric you like and within 7 – 14 days from the date of your order you will receive a sample.

 

Samples are cut at random and we cannot guarantee sample size. We also cannot guarantee Dye Lot or color.

If you should need an exact color  or dye lot match, you will need to order your fabric in advance. When you order, please note in the special comments box, “NEED COLOR SAMPLE FOR APPROVAL”. HFF will reserver your fabric, and send you a swatch from that exact roll for your approval.
